Helping others succeed has always been important to me. Before I ever considered becoming a financial advisor, I worked as a personal fitness trainer and later served as a missionary. Both experiences taught me how fulfilling it is to help people set goals, work toward them, and see the results of their effort. That same drive is what brought me into financial planning. I wanted a career where I could build real relationships and make a lasting difference in people’s lives.

I studied accounting in college and initially thought I’d follow a path in corporate accounting and finance. But during my very first week as an intern at TrueNorth Wealth, I realized how much I enjoyed sitting down with clients, hearing their stories, and helping them with their finances. That experience changed my direction. I earned my Master’s degree in Financial Services, and not long after, I was offered the chance to lead our Idaho practice. For the past ten years, I’ve been based in Boise, growing our presence there and serving as both lead advisor for TrueNorth Idaho and for Idaho Medical Association Financial Services. I also serve as Chief Compliance Officer for the firm, a role I take great pride in because it helps ensure that every part of what we do stays rooted in integrity and our clients’ best interests.

One of the things I enjoy most about my work is solving financial puzzles, particularly when it comes to tax strategy. I like the deep analysis and critical thinking that goes into reducing tax burdens, and I enjoy using my knowledge of the tax code to create solutions that may not be obvious at first glance. Over the years, I’ve been honored to earn a reputation as a resource for physicians across Idaho, speaking frequently at medical residency programs and becoming known as a trusted guide for doctors and dentists. I’m also proud of the firm award I received for outstanding client retention, as well as the work I’ve done rebuilding our compliance program from the ground up.

Outside of work, my wife Amika and I stay busy with our two kids, and we love to travel together. We’ve planned trips to places like Thailand, France, London, Italy, Japan, and Mexico, and we’re regular visitors to Hawaii and all things Disney. Planning our own trips is part of the fun, and it reflects the same attention to detail I bring to my professional life. When I have downtime, you’ll usually find me at the gym, on the golf course, driving fast cars, or cheering for Boise State football. Go BSU!
